Imphal, October 27 2013:
Claiming responsibility for the IED blast at North AOC yesterday morning that left at least one personnel of the 40 Assam Rifles (A-Coy) posted at Chinga wounded, Publicity Officer of the proscribed UNLF M Sak-Hen has informed that the attack on the Indian security force was carried out by a small demolition team of Urban Warfare Group of UNLF/MPA.
In a statement, Sak-Hen said that more casualties could have been inflicted but taking consideration of the fact no civilians should suffer in such attacks in urban area, no splinters have been used for the explosion.
Similar IED had also been used for the explosion at Governor Road sometime earlier.
Informing that attack on Indian security forces to save the Manipuri people from extinction would continue, Sak-Hen maintained that is the only way to protect the Manipuri race from being dominated and suppressed by India.
