JP Nadda pays homage to martyrs at Khongjom

BJP national president Jagat Prakash Nadda visited Khongjom Kheba Ching in Thoubal district and paid homage to martyrs of the Anglo-Manipuri War and later attended a public meeting organised in connection with the 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly election on Friday.
Addressing the public meeting organised by BJP Manipur Pradesh at the public park of Khongjom Kheba Ching, JP Nadda said that he was fortunate to pay homage to freedom fighters like Paona Brajabasi and others who laid down their lives while fighting the British.
According to JP Nadda, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government at the Centre has taken various welfare schemes for the people and some notable schemes launched by the government like Pradhan Mantri UJJWALA Yojana, Jan Dhan Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana have provided benefits to crores of people.
In the same manner, chief minister the N Biren-led government too has helped people in a big way by extending financial assistance for medical treatment.
Earlier, JP Nadda went to Kheba Ching and paid homage to martyrs at Khongjom War Memorial Complex along with chief minister N Biren, works minister Thongam Biswajit, BJP Manipur Pradesh A Sharda Devi and BJP national spokesperson Sambit Patra.
Around 25,000 BJP supporters from Thou-bal and Kakching districts attended the public meeting cum rally.
BJP intending candidates in assembly constituencies of Thoubal and Kakching districts also took part in the meeting.
