CJM Imphal West remands two to police custody

Imphal, August 26 2022:
The Chief Judicial Magistrate Imphal West has remanded two accused in connection with planting IED at the southern gate of RIMS hospital on April 10 to 5 days police custody.
The accused identified as Ningthoujam Khelemba (24), s/o (late) Miteshwar and Wahengbam Manjit alias Dingku (24), s/o Sunderjit, both residents of Kumbi Terakhong, were arrested today after due permission from Session Judge Churachandpur.
The IO of the case through APP stated that on April 10 at around 8 am, the police received information about an IED planted near the southern gate of RIMS hospital by some unknown people.
But fortunately the IED didn't explode which was safely removed and disposed of at Lamphel dumping site.
During the course of investigation, it was found that the accused were arrested by Churachandpur police in connection to a different case and they were arrested today with permission from the Session Judge, Churachandpur.
The Court after hearing the submission of the IO remanded the two accused into five days police custody till August 30 .
