During the meeting which lasted for around 45 minutes, the delegation comprising Dr H Borobanu, Santikumar Sharma, S Tiken Singh, Dr Dhananjoy, S Rajen Singh, Y Khemchand, N Ratan, Hangkhanpao, Th Samo Singh, etc also submitted another representation highlighting a 15-point demand for development and national integration of Manipur.

The representation further said that NSCN (IM) which is in ceasefire with the Government of India has been unleashing violence in the North east India for the lat 17 years.
The outfit has been targeting its political rivals and it has committed a number of political assassinations, the latest target being Ngalangzar Malue, a member of Autonomous District Council, Ukhrul.
A full criminal case be taken up against the members of the outfit who are breaking the ground rules of the ceasefire and the ongoing peace talks be reviewed closely, the representation demanded.
On the demand for raising a Manipur Regiment in the Indian Army, the representation pointed out that Manipuris are a martial race who fought valiantly in war against the Burmese, Chinese and the British, and so raising a Manipur Regiment in the Indian Amy would give a sense of involvement in the defence of the country besides giving employment to thousands of unemployed Manipuri youths.
Furthermore, the representation demanded that a Cultural University be envisaged for Manipur to preserve and promote the rich cultural heritage of Manipur; steps be initiated to upgrade the existing Indira Gandhi National Tribal University, Regional Centre in Manipur to a full-fledged University as the State Government has already allocated the required land for the said University; the demand by the Meetei for classification as a Scheduled Tribe of India be examined; Manipuri language (Meetei script) be included in the Indian currency note; Indo-Myanmar boundary in Manipur sector be re-demarcated and the border pillar re-identified; establish an office for issuing 'Visa for arrival' at Imphal or Moreh; proposed Imphal-Mandalay bus service be started at the earliest possible and a regional passport office be opened at Imphal.
