UNACCO College to begin session this year

Imphal, May 16 2023:
With the objective of helping the students who have been affected by the violence including being rendered homeless, UNACCO School Khongman and Meitram will not levy any fees for admission to Class I-IX and also exempt the tuition fees for April and May, announced UNACCO School chairman Ningombam Irabanta.
Speaking to the media at UNACCO School, Meitram on Tuesday, Irabanta opined that misunderstandings between two communities led to the ethnic violence.
Nonetheless, he hoped for return of peace and normalcy in the state.
Regarding the plight of stu-dents who had to flee their homes due to the violence, the chairman announced that the school will not take any charges for admissions to Class 1-IX in UNACCO School Khongman and Meitram and will further relax the tuition fee for the month of April and May.
The affected stu-dents, who want to stay in the hostels, will also be exempted from paying the admission fee and tuition fees for April and May.
This opportunity is limited to only select number of seats.
Irabanta continued that as results of Class XII exam under CBSE has been declared and for CoHSEM to be declared soon, UNACCO College, Khongman will begin its academic session from this year onwards, pref-erably by August first week.
The colleges will offer various courses in Arts (Education, Economics, Political Science, History, Geography and So-ciology) and Science (Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Mathematics and Computer Science) streams in addition to common subjects like English and Manipuri.
Relevant docu-ments for affiliation to Manipur University have already been submitted, he conveyed.
