State's tentative plan size to be Rs.4933 cr

In the aftermath of the constitution of NITI (National Institution for Transforming India) Aayog in place of the Planning Commission of India, the State Government expects its tentative plan size for the year 2015-16 to be Rs.4933.10 crore.
There will be an increase of 13.5 percent in the state's plan as compared to the tentative plan size of Rs.3650 crore for the year 2014-15 .
According to a highly placed official source, the State Government will present the Revised Estimates for 2014-15 and Budget Estimates for 2015-16 in the ensuing session of 10th Manipur Legislative Assembly commencing from February 25 .
The State Government is also preparing to present a Vote on Account of Rs.1233.3 crore in this ensuing Assembly session.
The Revised Outlay for Annual Plan 2014-15 has been fixed at Rs.5017.30 crore while the tentative outlay for the financial year 2015-16 is expected to be Rs.4933.10 crore.
The official source further said that out of the tentative outlay of Rs.4933.10 crore for 2015-16, Rs.39.45 crore will be earmarked for crop husbandry, Rs.50.85 crore for horticulture and Rs.50 crore for RKVY under the head of agriculture and allied activities.
Furthermore, Rs.2 crore will be earmarked for horticulture; Rs.1.2 crore for forest; Rs.20.65 crore for forest and wildlife; Rs.10 crore for animal husbandry; Rs.8.18 crore for diary development; Rs.8.79 crore for fisheries; Rs.4 lakh for food, storage and warehousing; Rs.15 lakh for agriculture research and education etc.
Another Rs.107.76 crore will be earmarked for rural development; Rs.38 crore for special area programmes; Rs.42.65 crore for irrigation and flood control; Rs.116.50 crore for energy; and Rs.640.70 crore for general education, the source added.
