Road mishaps kill three, hurt four

Imphal, December 14 2014:
At least three persons including an auto rickshaw driver were killed while four suffered injuries in different road accidents took place in different parts of the State.
An auto rickshaw driver lost his life when his vehicle met a head-on collision with a fast moving Tata Winger at Sagoltongba under Patsoi Police Station along National Highway 37 today around 1 pm.
Another three women who were travelling in the auto rickshaw sustained injuries in the accident.
The deceased has been identified as Wahengbam Vikram (66) s/o W Jugol of Patsoi, Imphal West.
He was rushed to RIMS Hospital but died while giving treatment.
On the other hand, an elderly man was killed when he was hit by a speeding Pulsar motorbike bearing registration no MN06SA-1757 near Brighter English Academy along Tiddim Road under Nambol Police Station, Bishnupur district on December 12 around 4 pm.
The deceased has been identified as Asem Ibopishak (73) s/o (L) A Yaima of Oinam Awang Leikai.
He was admitted to RIMS Hospital for treatment but succumbed to the injuries on the day at around 10 pm.
In a separate road mishap, a pillion rider lost his life when a Pulsar motorbike he was travelling collided with a Tata Magic passenger vehicle at Khwairakpam in Bishnupur district on December 12 evening.
The deceased has been identified as Kelvis Rose (17) s/o Shining of Lingang in Ukhrul district.
Driver of the motorbike identified as Haosanglun (21) s/o Hamingthang of Zoumi Colony, Churachandpur district suffered injuries in the accident.
