IPSA foundation day

The 20th foundation day of International Peace and Social Advancement (IPSA) was held at Manipur State Film Development Society (MSFDS) at Palace Compound today.
Health and Family Welfare Minister L Jayantakumar Singh, IPSA president Joychandra Konthoujam, International Bar Association London Member Sarangthem Manaobi, NEROCA FC president Thangjam Arunkumar and National Awardee Ibotombi Khuman attended the event as the chief guest, president and guests of honour respectively.
Speaking at the event, L Jayantakumar urged the people to live as one irrespective of race, caste or religion.
On the other hand, NEROCA FC president Thangjam Arunkumar said that Manipur is plagued with a huge amount of issues, including Framework Agreement, boundary issue, university issue but the Central Government often fails to heed the appeals of the State regarding such issues.
If any other State of the country raised any such issues, the Central Government is swift to take actions, he said and added that people of Manipur need to deliberate why this situation is so.
Representatives of various associations/ organisations were also felicitated during the event.
