State logs four new cases

Imphal, April 13 2022:
The state on Wednesday reported four new positive cases of Covid-19 out of 269 samples tested in the last 24 hours, thus, registering 1.49 per cent positivity rate, which is slightly higher than Tuesday's 0.92 per cent.
No death cases were reported in the last 24 hours and the toll stands at 2120 .
Till date, the virus has claimed lives of 194 vaccinated people of which 61 had received second doses of Covid vaccine.
In the last 24 hours, three patients were discharged from home isolation.
Number of active cases rose to 38 out of which 12 (31.58 per cent) are in home isolation.
There are 299 vacant beds available in JNIMS and 189 in RIMS.
So far, the state has recorded 11,381 positive cases and 118 fatalities since the beginning of the third wave of the pandemic.
The current month has reported 75 new positive cases and no fatality.
According to official reports, all the four fresh cases (2 male & 2 female) are from among the general population and they are from Imphal West (3) and Bishnupur (1).The cumulative number of positive cases has reached 1,37,169 while number of recovered cases is 1,35,011 (general population - 1,30,004 and CAPF personnel - 5,007).The number of active cases is 38 (general population - 38 and CAPF personnel - 0) .
The recovery rate is 98.43 per cent.
A total of 100 D-type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities in the last 24 hours and 1743 vaccine doses administered on Tuesday taking the cumulative number of vaccinated people to 15,48,813, including 11,90,770 who had received the second dose and 69,034 jabbed with precautionary doses.
As per data maintained by The People's Chronicle based on IDSP and CCR reports, number of total cases in different districts are Imphal West (48,736), Imphal East (30,437), Thoubal (10,155), Churachandpur (11,052), Kangpokpi (3130), Tamenglong (3478), Bishnupur (9832), Senapati (2492), Ukhrul (3274), Kakching (6894), Chandel (2718), Noney (1158), Tengnoupal (1201), Jiribam (1111), Kamjong (1036) and Pherzawl (465) .
Fatality counts in different districts are Imphal West (704), Imphal East (511), Thoubal (189), Churachandpur (168), Kangpokpi (67), Tamenglong (17), Bishnupur (205), Senapati (12), Ukhrul (51), Kakching (122), Chandel (42), Noney (5), Tengnoupal (15), Jiribam (7), Kamjong (5) and Pherzawl (0) .
Data analysed by this daily shows that the rate of infection remains 44,205 confirmed cases per million population (based on projected population of 31,03,000 as per NCP report) against the national average of 30,652 CPM.
Test rate has improved to 5,17,476 tests per million population against the national average of 5,65,886 TPM.
Case fatality rate stands at 1.55 per cent while the cumulative positivity rate stands at 8.54 per cent.
