Three new cases take active tally to 9

Imphal, May 12 2022:
With the detection of three new positive cases after reporting no new case for two consecutive days, the number of active cases of Covid-19 in the state has risen to 9 on Thursday.
However, no death case was reported on Thursday and the toll remains at 2120 .
Till date, the virus has claimed lives of 194 vaccinated people of which 61 had received second doses of Covid vaccine.
One patient was discharged from home isolation in the last 24 hours.
Out of the nine active cases, 2 (22.22 per cent) are in home isolation.
So far, the state has recorded 11,442 positive cases and 118 fatalities since the beginning of the third wave of the pandemic.
The current month has reported 10 new positive cases and zero fatality.
As per official reports, all the three fresh cases (one male & two female) are civilians from Imphal East (2) and Bishnupur (1) districts.
The cumulative number of positive cases has reached 1,37,230 (general population - 1,32,216 and CAPF personnel - 5,014) .
Number of recovered cases is 1,35,101 (general population - 1,30,094 and CAPF personnel - 5,007) and number of active cases is 9 (general population).
The recovery rate is 98.45 per cent.
A total of 149 D-type and 18 B-type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities in the last 24 hours and 2387 vaccine doses administered on Wednesday which took the cumulative number of vaccinated people to 15,61,935, out of which 12,12,917 had received second doses and 89,732 had taken precautionary doses.
As per data maintained by The People's Chronicle based on IDSP and CCR reports, number of total cases in different districts are Imphal West (48748), Imphal East (30448), Thoubal (10161), Churachandpur (11054), Kangpokpi (3135), Tamenglong (3478), Bishnupur (9843), Senapati (2493), Ukhrul (3277), Kakching (6896), Chandel (2726), Noney (1158), Tengnoupal (1201), Jiribam (1111), Kamjong (1036), and Pherzawl (465).Fatality counts in different districts are Imphal West (704), Imphal East (511), Thoubal (189), Churachandpur (168), Kangpokpi (67), Tamenglong (17), Bishnupur (205), Senapati (12), Ukhrul (51), Kakching (122), Chandel (42), Noney (5), Tengnoupal (15), Jiribam (7), Kamjong (5), and Pherzawl (0) .
Data analysed by this daily shows that the rate of infection remains 44,225 confirmed cases per million population (based on projected population of 31,03,000 as per NCP report) against the national average of 30,682 CPM.
Test rate has improved to 5,19,198 tests per million population against the national average of 5,99,545 TPM.
Case fatality rate stands at 1.54 per cent while cumulative positivity rate is at 8.52 per cent.
