Reporter hurt in road mishap

CCpur, January 12 2020:
A reporter working with Churachandpur based Manipur Express daily was hurt in a road accident yesterday evening leaving him with a fractured arm and he has been given medication for 30 days, reports our correspondent.
L Hauchinlian, senior reporter of the daily was riding a bike when he was reportedly hit by a Scorpio SUV at about 2 pm .
As the impact crushed his bike, he is said to have landed on the road and skidded for a few meters.
The helmet he wore is said to have saved him of severe injuries yet he still suffered a fractured arm.
The occupants of the SUV, sources said took him to District Hopital Churachandpur but left him when the hospital staff attending him asked them to get the casualty ticket.
Later, the vehicle bearing registration number MN03 P-1022 was identified using the hospital CCTV.
Police later in the evening seized the SUV and took it into custody.
The owner of the SUV today approached the reporter's family and both parties have agreed to hold talks tomorrow.
