Workshop on IPR held at DBC Maram

A one day workshop on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) was held today at the conference hall of Don Bosco College Maram.
The workshop kicked off at 1.30 pm with a reception ceremony by the Principal of the college, Rev Fr Dr Sebastian KO.
Koshia Mao, Public Prosecutor cum Addl Advocate Senapati District, who attended the workshop as resource person, spoke about the significance of IPR, which plays a pivotal role in the growth of the Nation.
Stating that innovative ideas should be promoted using IPR to generate jobs and improve the economy of the State, she added that the ability to develop innovative ideas amongst the masses can be increased by organising similar workshop on regular basis.
Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs) are legal rights that protect creations and/or inventions resulting from intellectual activity in the industrial, scientific, literary or artistic fields.
The most common IPRs include patents and copyrights.
