JAC threatens

JAC for May 24 Road Accident Luwangsangbam Koirengei Road Accident has threatened to block Tata tanker vehicles from plying along National Highway 2 if the association and owner of the vehicle involved in the accident do not approach the JAC to bring a solution to the issue.
Speaking to media persons at Manipur Press Club yesterday, the convenor of the JAC, Adasrii narrated that at around 9 am of May 24, a speeding Tata tanker (MN01-8784) crossed the road divider and struck a Mao to Imphal plying Tata sumo vehicle.
"The driver and 11 passengers of the sumo sustained injuries and had to be rushed to Raj Medicity and two of the victims are still in the ICU", he added.
He claimed that the owner of the tanker visited the victims in the hospital for around three days and stopped completely after May 30.Adarsii urged the concerned association and the owner to approach the JAC for resolving the issue within 48 hours and added that Tata tankers will not be allowed on National Highway 2 if they fail to do so.
