Imphal, December 08 2017:
Expressing disappointment over the alleged deliberate snub by the MPSC over the tribal candidates in the recruitment of Principals for the State colleges, KSO and ANSAM have demanded for a roll back of the declared results and to conduct a fresh recruitment by alterating the rules and regulations so as to accommodate competent tribal candidates .
The joint press statement of the two apex student bodies signed by Doumang Haokip, Education Secretary, KSO-GHQ and AC Thotso, Education Secretary ANSAM, stated that the present recruitment process has been skewed and manipulated in such a way that the hill people fail to qualify or reach the criteria .
The two tribal students apex body also said that they will not stand as silent spectators over the issue but will render all necessary support to the tribal students and the people in any protest to ensure fair competition .
It said that if the valley people desire understanding and amity with the hill people then they should also learn how to accommodate their tribal brethren in every walk of life and ensure that there is equitable distribution of the State's wealth .
It alleged that the contention that the tribal candidates have not fulfill the stipulated academic qualifications is fallacious and unacceptable because among the 13 recommended candidates, there are incompetent candidates whose incompetence were deliberately ignored by the MPSC.
