CCpur, July 08 2017:
Suspected robbers last night broke into the UCO bank located at Hmuia Veng but managed to lootjust a computer CPU, sources said.
The robbers reportedly broke the foldable iron door that led to the bank's back door and also to the main door of a restaurant located at the first floor.
They then shattered the bank's wooden back door as well as the restaurant's main door to gain entry.
Sources said there are signs that the robbers may have attempted to unlock the cash vault but failed.
The ATM machine located in the same building was also said to be intact.
The restaurant too shows signs of a break in but nothing worthy was reported missing.
At the bank, a computer CPU which is connected to the CCTV is the only item that has gone missing.
The exact time of the break-in is not known but it is suspected that the robbers may have struck taking undue advantage of the heavy rain that lashed the area last night.
A team of forensic experts from the State capital inspected the bank later today.
