AMPSUM condemns

All Meetei Pangal Students' Union of Manipur (AMPSUM) has condemned the sudden price hikes of essential commodities amid the 21 days Nationwide lockdown which was imposed to check COVID-19 outbreak.
In this regard, a press release issued by AMPSUM said that increasing prices of essential items by different traders for their gain without considering the suffering of the masses is very 'unfortunate' .
Saying that the union will start taking out a drive to check selling of foods and other basic commodities at a price traders command, AMPSUM appealed the State Government to look into the matter at the earliest.
On the other hand, AMPSUM lauded the State Government and medical practitioners for their timely intervention and treating the woman from Thangmeiband with COVID-19 successfully.
The union also prayed for a fast recovery a 65-year-old man from Thoubal district who was tested positive for COVID-19 recently.
As per reports, he attended a religious congregation at Nizamuddin Markaz in Delhi last month.
Saying that COVID-19, a disease caused by SARS-CoV2 has killed over 83,500 people globally, AMPSUM appealed all to follow the guidelines laid down by the State Government in connection with COVID-19 crisis.
