PFA Manipur rescues animals

Imphal, October 05 2019:
As a part of the 9th foundation day of People For Animals, Manipur and World Animal Day observation, some rescued animals were released into the wild yesterday.
A statement issued by the managing trustee of PFA Manipur mentioned that two Yong Ekaithibi/Bengal Slow Loris and two Leikang Hangkok/Bengal Monitor Lizards .

Both of which are included in schedule 1 of the Wildlife Protection Act which were rescued from various parts of the State, were set free today after conducting necessary processes and getting approval from the Wildlife Department.
Forest Department staff were also present when the animals were set free.
The event was organsied as a part of observing the Wildlife Week, the statement added.
