Women Action for Development (WAD) vehemently condemned the series of heinous crimes committed against three minor girls in the last few months in the State .
In a statement, WAD conveyed deep concern over such brutal torture against the young girls who are the future of the society.
Such atrocities are totally threat to all the girls of the State which can not be compromised .
The incident of rape and reported attempt to murder of a minor girl at Viewland Colony, Senapati, the incident at Moreh Gate No 1 on July 23 where a minor girl student of class IX was shot dead by UG cadre, suspicious death of a class XI girl at Iril river Urup Makha Leikai on July 20 after she had gone missing are cases of heinous crime against humanity .
WAD further expressed concern over the custodial death of Mutum (O) Indira (38) who died in the custody of Andro Police Station, few days back .
WAD appreciated and acknowledged the steps taken up by the Government in connection with the custodial death of Mutum Indira and the decision to constitute magisterial enquiry into the matter .
However, WAD demanded that a judicial enquiry be conducted to probe the custodial death of Mutum Indira and urged the authority concerned to tackle the three cases through fast track court without delay .
WAD further demanded the arrest of the culprits involved in the killing of a girl at Iril river Urup Makha Leikai and the rapist/ culprit of the brutal incident of Senapati.
