Imphal, January 04 2013 :
A parcel sent through India Post turned out to be just confettis and rags.
The parcel was addressed to one Rev Kh Okendro of Ningthoukhong.
When Rev Okendro claimed the parcel from Bishnupur Post Office, this morning it turned out to be just confettis and rags.
Speaking to The Sangai Express, Rev Okendro who is Pastor of Banseok Church said that the parcel was sent from South Korea by his wife who is a Korean.
The parcel weighing around 14.93 Kgs should be containing instant foods for children and clothes as these were the items sent by Okendro's wife.
On arrival at Bishnupur PO, the parcel was opened in the presence of Post Office staff.
However, the parcel was found containing only confettis, rags and old magazines in place of the items sent from South Korea.

Moreover, the parcel weighed only around 4 Kgs when it reached the PO.
After talking to the Speed Post Manager of Imphal Head Post Office, it was learnt that the parcel and its package was already broken.
It was re-sealed at Imphal and sent to Bishnupur. Earlier too, there were cases when parcels sent from South Korea were received unsealed or without the items sent, Okendro lamented while seeking immediate attention of the concerned authority to plug these loopholes or discrepancies.
