Imphal, September 01 2016:
All Naga Students' Association, Manipur in a
statement has strongly condemned the act of hurling a bomb by
unidentified persons at midnight of August 28 inside Berean
Lodge, Dewlahland Imphal.
Such acts are alien to Naga culture
and way of life but it is no surprise that these groups committing
such acts are known for their notorious indulgence in everything
unbecoming of 'revolutionaries."
Deliberately targeting Naga areas cannot be seen in isola-
tion but should be understood within the larger context of the
Naga peoples support and advocacy for the Indo-Naga peace
and the aspiration of the Nagas, the statement added.
ANSAM also stated that such act will not deter the Naga
people but will instead strengthen their resolve.
In a separate statement the Tangkhul Mayar Ngala Long
(Youth Council) has also strongly condemned the bomb
explosion at the residence of Samuel Risom at his residence
at Dewlahland.
No reason or motive justifies this heinous action as violence breeds violence and it is time to refrain from such
barbarism and the concerned parties must not repeat such
action in the interest of the public, the statement added.
