Kpi greets COVID recovered frontline warrior

Kangpokpi, August 31 2020:
ASHA worker Hevei Haokip of Kangpokpi District Headquarters who returned home after testing negative and on completion of 28 days surveillance was greeted by the local CSOs and the medical department yesterday.
The 60 years old ASHA worker from Ward No 5 in Kangpokpi DHQs is among many others infected with the virus.
She tested positive on August 1 along with other ASHA workers.
She was evacuated at Lamboikhongnangkhong Covid Care Centre at Imphal.
On August 17, she was discharged from the centre after spending 17 days and voluntarily opted to undergo the remaining days to complete 28 days surveillance at Kanggui Christian College Community Quarantine Centre.
She was discharged from the Community Quarantine Centre yesterday.
Upon arrival at home, the Kangpokpi Women Welfare Organization leaders, the Kangpokpi Youth Union and the medical department greeted her with a warm welcome at her residential gate with claps and cheers.
Dr Paotinlal Haokip, MS i/c District Hospital Kangpokpi, Hekim Hangshing, president of KWWO and Haolet Khongsai, president KYU presented her with bouquets of flower.
