The two day Golden Jubilee function which marked the fifty years completion of existence of Maring Naga Baptist Association concluded today at Machi Khul in Chandel district.
Representatives of more than 63 Baptist churches from different places took part in the celebration function slated from yesterday at the Machi Baptist Church, MNBA centre.
President of the Maring Naga Baptist Association, Rev Kh Kopham unfurled the jubilee flag while field director of MNBA, Rev Ringsi unveiled the Golden Jubilee monument on the first day.
In the afternoon session of the second day of the celebration was attended by writer Sapam Geeta and editor of Hueiyen Lanpao Meetei Mayek edition Maisnam Shivdutt Luwang.
They also extended monetary assistance to the handicapped children apart from releasing of the golden jubilee souvenir.
Speaking on the occasion, MNBA president Rev Keishing said that the golden jubilee function was held to commemorate the forefather leaders of Maring tribe who baptized to Christianity.
The tribe having around 32,000 heads is extending over 85 villages across the state mostly in Chandel district.
