Medicines, Covid kits, ration items distributed

Imphal, July 29 2021:
Continuing the efforts to contain the spread of Covid-19 in the state, Committee on Covid-19 Manipur (CADA, UPF, NIPCO, AMSU, UPACO and MAPI Council) distributed Ayush 54 tablets, face mask and hand sanitizer to Community Home Isolation Centre, Local Covid Task Force, local clubs and meira paibi of Imphal East and Thoubal district on Thursday as a part of its on-going mass awareness programme.
In a release, Committee media coordinator Geetchandra Mangang informed that the items were handed over to Khonghampat Covid Task Force, Ukhongshang Covid Task Force, Takhel Covid Task Force, Top Chingtha Covid Task Force, Nongpok Yambem pradhan and to Apunba Meira Paibi Charangpat secretary for distribution to Community Health Isolation Centres (CHIC) in their respective areas.
Door-to-door distribution of medicines was also carried out at Nambol Maibam, Kontha Khabam Heibong Makhong, Langmeithet, Lourembam, Kamuching and Nongpok Sanjenbam.
The Committee also conducted interaction programme with CHIC, local Covid Task Force and local clubs and meira paibi about the initiatives taken up for containing the pandemic and urged all to undertake test without fail if any symptom is developed, follow Covid SOP guidelines and get vaccinated.
On the other hand, X-men Help Group distributed Covid kits to families of ex-servicemen residing in far flung areas of the state.
The group aims to provide Covid kits to families of ex-servicemen residing in five hill districts of the state and for the first phase, it distributed Covid kits to 45 ex-servicemen at Kanglatongbi.
Meanwhile, Khundrakpam Kendra Development Committee (KKDC) distributed ration items to households in Leitanpokpi, Chingarel Tejpur and Waiton which have been notified as containment zones.
