International body fetes bird conservators of Tamenglong

Birdlife International, an organisation based in Cambridge, UK, dedicated to saving wild birds, handed over certificates of honour to certain individuals and groups of Tamenglong who have been working towards the conservation of birds in the district, recognising their contribution.
The certificates were distributed by officials of the organisation from its New Delhi office during an awareness campaign which was organised at Zeliangrong Evangelical Fellowship hall, Tamenglong HQ, about saving Amur Falcon and other wild animals under the aegis of Western Forest Division Tamenglong, Bombay Natural History Society, Mumbai, Centre for Conservation of Nature and Cultivation of Science, Manipur and Rainforest Club Tamenglong.
District Chief Medical Office and Honorary Wildlife Warden Dr Chambo Golmei, Honorary Wildlife Warden Nehemiah Pamei, Ballok Village Authority, DEEPS Dailong, Rainforest Club Tamenglong and bird watcher Chingkhiuhuwang Pamei were feted by Bombay Natural History Society, Mumbai representative Dr Neha Sinha during the event.
Dr Neha Sinha, IBCN State coordinator RK Birjit, Dr Chambo Golmei and Range Forest Officer Kh Hitler and others spoke on various topics regarding conservation of wildlife at the event.
The awareness campaign will conclude tomorrow.
