AMUCO aims to help 10K destitute families

In collaboration with other organisations, All Manipur United Clubs' Organisation (AMUCO) has so far provided relief items to more than 3,500 destitute families.
In continuation of the humanitarian service, AMUCO aims to reach out to 10,000 families who have been affected by Covid-19 pandemic, assistant general secretary of the organisation MM Thambou informed in a statement.
Stating that AMUCO plans to provide edible items to at least 10,000 destitute families affected by the pandemic, he urged the people to extend co-operation in the initiative of helping the poor.
Continuing the initiative of helping the families of daily wage earners and landless people in particular, AMUCO and Ekta Parishad provided edible items to 405 households in Thiyam, Wangkhem, Huikap and Andro villages under Imphal East district on Tuesday.
The handing over of edible items was attended by members of AMUCO, EKTA Parishad state Co-ordinator A Rishikanta Sharma, Steering Committee chief N Bidyarani Devi, Imphal West District in-charge S Tania and Imphal East co-ordinator Asem Ichal Leima Chanu among others.
