NEIDP Manipur, State president Dr Ng Bijoy also lauded the members for joining the party and realising the importance and idea of regionalism.
Maintaining that the bonding between the people in the hills and the valley were not strong for a time being, which was unfortunate, Bijoy remarked that such decision of the youth from the hill districts recognising and supporting the ideology of regionalism has clearly shown that the party will be capable of bringing the improvement and development in the society.
He maintained that healthy relationship and development in both the hills and the valley can only lead to social upliftment and economic upliftment.
Claiming that NEIDP is striving for development in the hill districts, Bijoy stated that economic independence or the state of self reliant can only be achieved if the people of the State work towards promoting the vegetables or crops grown here.
He alleged that the National party leaders have little to no concern about small regions like Manipur and its people stating that they only aim to exploit the natural resources, like ginseng from Ukhrul, oil from Tamenglong etc, available here in the State.
He urged all to stand together and stop such exploitation.
Bijoy maintained that people can become self-reliant by producing organic products and exporting them to big companies and provide a source to income as well.
