Incessant rainfall during the last 24 hours has caused floods and landslides in many parts of Meghalaya affecting around 1042 people.
As per the latest report received from the State Disaster Management Authority, Shillong, heavy rainfall during the last 24 hours has caused flood and landslide and affected 16 villages under Mairang, Mawthadraishan and Mawshynrut C&RD Blocks.
Flash floods also occurred in West Garo Hills under Selsella C&RD Block on July 10.As per the report, population affected on July 10 was 501 and 541 on Saturday.
Eleven houses were partially damaged today, while yesterday one house was severely damaged.
Crops over 45 hectares have been affected during the last 24 hours.
