Fogging at Kpi DHQs after Dengue case detected

Kangpokpi, August 10 2019:
Fogging within 100 meter radius at Ward No 17 at Kangpokpi District Headquarters was carried out by the concerned authority in collaboration with Kangpokpi Town Committee this afternoon after a Dengue case was detected recently in the area.
An elderly man, a resident of Kangpokpi Ward No 17 was tested Dengue positive after he was reportedly admitted at RIMS Hospital, Imphal owing to constant fever a week before.

Till the filing of this report, it was reported that he was discharged from the hospital after recovering from the sickness.
Considering the detection of Dengue case in the town, the District Malaria Office with the acknowledgement of the Chief Medical Officer and approval from the higher authority carried out fogging this afternoon within 100 meter radius of Kangpokpi Ward No 17 as a preventive and control measures.
Earlier, the Chief Medical Officer of Kangpokpi District had articulated awareness on several vector borne diseases specially Dengue, Japanese Encephalitis, Chikungunya, typhoid, malaria, etc, while imparting the preventive measures in public interest.
