Mayol Driving School opened

Dr David Elangbam, Deputy Secretary (Transport) stressed on the need of safe driving and adhering to road safety rules to reduce road mishaps which have claimed numerous lives in the State.
He made the above statement while speaking at the inaugural function of Mayol Driving School held at Poumai Colony, Sangakpham today.
He also expressed that high rates of road accidents are caused by rash driving and maintained that following the road safety rules will prevent road accidents thereby saving a number of precious lives.
He commended the management committee of Mayol Driving School for opening the driving school as per the rules and regulations laid by the relevant authorities and after procuring the necessary license.
In view of the existence of driving schools without valid license to operate, he appealed to all driving schools not to violate any norms which are in place in the interest of all.
Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mayol Driving School, K Sani Mao and Vice-Chairman, Poumai Colony Village, Ng Thaiho also attended the inaugural function.
