'The Hill and Plain Home for Destitutes' seeks assistance

'The Hill and Plain Home for Destitutes' sought help from the public for its upcoming project to build its first home at Engourok Mahadev campus in Leimakhong.
Dr M Dhanabir Singh, managing director of the home said this at a press conference held at Manipur Press Club and said this new project which will provided shelter and fooding facilities to orphaned children, widows and widowers and aged people with no one to look up to is first of its kind in the North-East.
He added that the earth work and leveling for the building site is already completed but the project needs financial support from the public and its patrons.
M Dhanabir also said that the home is a registered organisation and it is done purely on humanitarian grounds and is not meant as a business model.
A site has also been donated for another home in Kamjong and the home is planning to open a branch each at every district in the future, he added.
