Ukhrul, March 03 2014 :
In the fag end of his political life, Dr.Rishang Keishing preaches more of universal love and forgiveness among humanity, and cares little of temporal affairs.
A nonagenarian politician and outgoing Rajya Sabha MP, Dr.Rishang Keishing, is now devoting more time to preaching love, peace and forgiveness among the humanity.
In his recent few public appearances that are all ecclesiastical, he has never spoken on political line.
In the last two-day visit to Ukhrul, Dr.Keishing met and interacted with people on affairs above politics.
"...(we must learn) to love and forgive...live together as one," he preaches during the Ministry Commencement Service held in his name at Covenant Baptist Bible College and Seminary (CBBC&S) .

A man, who has given so much to the world he lives in, is still overwhelmingly concerned with his own community.
"Tangkhul society is not at peace", he rues, in particular reference to Tangkhul Christians living under different roofs of Churches.
"All Churches should come together as onelet's live together as one in Christ", Dr.Keishing prayed to the gathering comprising mostly of theological students, pastors and Christian workers.
In his sublime elucidation of how it takes to be united for Christians, he says, "If we are not united, I don't know whether there will be a place for us in heaven" .
On close following of his public appearances at different apolitical programmes, the veteran politician and a devout Christian faithful appears to be very perturbed with the reality that the Tangkhul Churches today are so divided and lives on parallel bodies Tangkhul Baptist Churches Association (TBCA) and Tangkhul Naga Baptist Convention (TNBC) .
The Tangkhul Christians, Dr.Keishing remarks, has forsaken their "first love." This quip is so aptly given in the context that the present generation has forgotten 'Christ' .
On Saturday last, the Ukhrul faith based institution CBBC & S organised the Ministry Commencement Service of Dr.Rishang Keishing.
The next day he also attended a morning service at Phungyo Baptist Church, Wino Bazaar and visited Nungbi village in the afternoon.
In the ministry commencement service, a memento listing his over 60 years of political career and public assignments was gifted to the veteran politician by Dr.Jim W.Starr with a special prayer.
Dr.Keishing, a man who holds record as the country's oldest living parliamentarian and youngest member when he was first elected to Lok Sabha, appeals for "love and forgiveness" in every public address that he embarks on and even during his last visit to Ukhrul.
