Moreh Hospital records eight suspected Dengue cases

Moreh, October 30 2021:
Since the last few days, the rate of people infected with a disease suspected to be Dengue has been steadily on the rise in the border town of Moreh.
In this regard, the infected patients were checked today by a team led by Dr L Ashananda, Regional Director North-East Region Govt of India.
Dr Yaikhom Manibhushan, District Malaria Officer, NVBDCP Tengnoupal district and N Gopakishor IEC/BCC State Consultant NVBDCP, Manipur were also present during the visit.
As of right now, Moreh Hospital has recorded 8 suspected cases of Dengue through diagnostics run by private diagnostic labs in Moreh and the KRSNA lab in Moreh Hospital.
In other news, an awareness programme on dengue was conducted today at the Conference Hall of Moreh Hospital which was attended by various community leaders.
Through this awareness programme, people were informed about the multiple ways of taking precaution against the disease.
The community leaders present also expressed their dissatisfaction with the smoke fogging procedure carried out by the Malaria Unit in Moreh town.
