AMKIL and NIPCO organised a mass rally in 2000 participated by lakhs of hill and valley people.
The rally resolved to fight together for territorial integrity of Manipur till the end and every year this day has been observed as Manipur Integrity and Solidarity Day, said Risikanta.
India Government and NSCN (IM) signed the Naga Peace Accord on August 3 last but the contents of the accord have not been made public till today, said Risikanta.
He added that the accord has aroused the fear of disintegrating the territorial boundary of Manipur though Centre's interlocutor RN Ravi had assured that the accord will not affect the territorial integrity of the State.
Risikanta also appealed people from all walks of life in the State to stand together and be united against forces which continuously threaten to disintegrate Manipur.
Expressing his views on the demand for Inner Line Permit System, Risikanta said it was a loss for Manipur when nine civilians were killed in Churachandpur during violence protests against the passing of three Bills by the Manipur Legislative Assembly on August 31.He opined that challenging the valley people by both the Kuki community and NSCN (IM) was not a good sign.
Sapam Robinhood was killed and over 400 people were injured during the mass movement spearheaded by JCILPS for implementing ILPS in Manipur.
However, no representatives of the Government of India visited the state, rued Risikanta.
He also pointed out that Indian representatives visited Churachandpur during the protests against the passing of the three Bills and this indicated India's step motherly attitude towards the people of the State.
