Committed to help and serve, says social worker in Andro AC

Social worker, Keisham Ningthemjao who is also a co-opted member of Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee has said that he is committed to extend all sort of help from his end and serve the people of Andro Assembly Constituency.
The social worker made the statement during a rice distribution to voters in Top Chingtha Ningthounai area today.
5 kg rice was distributed to each voter during the distribution programme held as a part of the relief work initiated in wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Speaking on the sideline of the programme, K Ningthemjao said that in view of the helplessness caused by COVID-19 crisis, he has been assisting fund and material to around 200 women self help groups under MSME scheme.
He also maintained that he will do his best to help all even if there is no MLA of the AC.
While appealing to all to accept his service, though small, since there is no elected MLA from the AC to help, the social worker said that he finds happiness in helping the people.
He also drew the attention of the State Government to ensure the rights and the benefits the Assembly segment deserve.
The member of United NGO Forum, Maulana Hasim who also attended the event, said that the Andro Assembly Constituency, which has been lagging behind when compared to others, was pushed further backward with the disqualification of the former MLA who shifted allegiance to fulfil his own personal interest.
The social worker who is taking up a huge task to serve people in the absence of an elected member is very commendable, he continued.
