Four UGs held

Imphal, August 27 2011:
Security forces arrested four UG activists from different parts of the state.
Around 8.45 in the morning a combined team of Imphal West district commandos, Imphal East , 30 Assam Rifles and 10 Assam Rifles apprehended one active member of KYKL from Lamlong Bazar.
The arrested person was identified as Khongbantabam Netra (28) of Thangmeiband Thingel working under one Hamir @ Amuba of Seijang Makha Leikai.
He was involved in serving demand letters to the general public and transportation of arms and ammunition.
In another operation of the I/W Commandos, around 1.25 pm, arrested one active member of KCP(Moramba Meitei) from BT Road near Ima Keithel Shulabh.
The arrested UG activist was identified as Konsam Gouramani (22) of Saraothel Mamang Leikai working in the finance section under one Binoy and was involved in distribution of demand leters to the businessmen of Imphal bazar area.
One demand letter of KCP signed by Binoy was also seized from his possession.
Troops of 33 AR of Logtak Brigade under the Red Shield Division apprehended two KYKL cadres from Wangu Parking in Thoubal district today.
They were identified as S/S, Pte Amom Sanjoy Singh (25) of Wangu Terakhong Makhong, District Thoubal and S/S, Pte Takhelambam Ibochouba Singh (27) of Wangu Teramakha Leikai, District Thoubal.
The apprehendees revealed their involvement in supplying arms, carrying out recruitments, tax collections and extortions for KYKL.
They were handed to Kumbi Police Station, stated a PIB (DW) press release.
