Awareness progs on Bio-Mushroom Beta Glucan Product

Under World Light Foundation, Inc, Australia and Bunker Natural Australia Ppy Ltd, an awareness programme on Bio-Mushroom Beta Glucan Product was organised by the Integrated Mushroom Centre at Apunba Leikai Community Hall, Thangmeiband Khomdram Selungba Leikai today.
The programme was attended by Jyotin Waikhom, vice-president of BJP Manipur Pradesh as chief guest; Hemam Bihari Singh, retd Chief Engineer (Power) as president; Albert Chan, Chairman, World Light Foundation Inc, Australia; Managing Director Shulin Chan; Too Ching Lee; Paul and Lim both from Australia as special guests.
President, Integrated Mushroom Training Centre,' Samurailatpam Ibohal said that studies by scientists on seven types of mushrooms including one from India revealed various health benefits like prevention of diabetes, high cholestrol, high BP and even cancer to a certain extent.
He also said that the centre and World Light Foundation have jointly opened a stall (No 179) at Lamboikhongnangkhong, one of the Sangai Festival venues.
A similar awareness programme was also held at Eclipse Theatre cum Community Hall at Kwakeithel Konjeng Leikai organised by Sanasam Chandrabala (Mangaal Foundation) in asociation with World Light Foundation.
Prof RK Ranjan, Advisor to the Chief Minister; Dr Sanasam Ringo, retd HOD, Department of Geology, DM College of Science and Prof N Joykumar, retd Professor & Head, Department of History, Manipur University
attended the programme as chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.
