Poster campaign organised

Titular king Leishemba Sanajaoba kick-started a poster campaign against the consumption of harmful substances organised by Manipur Friendship Organisation (MAFRO), at Sana Konung today .
Inaugurating the poster campaign, Leishemba Sanajaoba pointed out that death caused by use and consumption of harmful drugs and substances if one of the main reasons for the decreasing population of the indigenous people in the State.
He said that drug abuse not only cause financial problems but also disrupts the peace of the society .
Sanajaoba acknowledged that he himself is trying to give up his habit of eating paan and pointed out that good habits are hard to imbibe.
He further explained that good habits need to be inculcated from one’s youth to bring peace and development and to rid the society of drug abuse .
General secretary of MAFRO, Johnson Mangang said that the poster campaign have been organised with the aim of creating a healthy society .
The campaign is also supported by Joint Administrative Council for Auto in Manipur .
On the other hand, an awareness cum poster campaign on drug abuse was conducted by Manipur Friendship Organization (MAFRO), Kangpokpi district at Kangpokpi DHQs yesterday .
The campaign was organized under the theme, "No tobacco, No intoxicating substances, No alcohol", in collaboration with Manipur Friendship Organization (MAFRO), Manipur .
SP, Kangpokpi, M Pradip, MAFRO, Manipur president SM Ahsan and Rev M Singh, UPC (NE-I) Kangpokpi attended the event as presidium members apart from other local CSOs leaders .
M Pradip lauded the organizing committee for conducting the awareness programme and stated that it will benefit particularly the youth .
SM Ahsan said "The time has come for the people of Manipur to discard differences among one another and embrace collective development and unity in diversity" .
