Urging the teachers to make schools more attractive, Education Minister Radheshyam categorically stated: "A word of love can do wonder.
Instead of disheartening them (students) with harsh words for their mere mistake or failure, one should use kind words." The Minister for Education was speaking at the inauguration function of 79th General Conference of Talui Katamnao Long (students union) at the pre-centenary Hall, Talui Village.
Speaking at the event, the minister assured construction of a library hall for Talui Higher Secondary School.
He also assured to push for a science lab and fill up of the vacant posts of teachers for Chemistry and Mathematics Departments.
The Ministers' speech dwelt on the roles and responsibilities of teaching community.
Teachers should not burdened the students with immense workload.
This may disappoint and discourage them in their studies.
Teachers should have good communication skills in order to educate them and should identify their talents and area of interests, he said.
The Minister urged the faculties of the school to form an alumni to encourage and support meritorious students.
The school is as important as a Church.
Parents and the village community need to preserve the sanctity of the educational institutions for the betterment of the society, he said.
Earlier the Minister attended an interactive session at VA Court with Talui Village Authority, women leaders, student leaders including village elders.
The Education Minister listened to their various grievances.
The heredity headman Akhui urged the visiting minister to expedite the process of Talui Police Station inauguration.
Assuring the gathering to look into the matter, he said that the Government is in the process to recruiting 600 teachers to solve teacher shortages in the State.
The Minister unfurled flag and declared the 69th Village Level Student Conference opened.
