IOCL observes Drivers' Day

The Indian Oil Corporation Limited, Imphal Divisional Office, observed Drivers' Day on September 17 atNetworked Retail Outlet - M/s PCTC, Imphal, a statement informed.
The observance was graced by Thingom Ramgopal Singh, MPS, SDPO, Porompat.
Imphal East; Y Bhupenchandra Ghosh, president of All Manipur Petroleum Tankers Drivers' Union (AMPTDU); Prakash Patni and Sinam Ibungoton, Chief Divisional Retail Sales Manager cum State Level Coordinator, Manipur, as chief guest, guests of honour and president respectively.

Manipur, Sinam Ibungoton said, the Drivers' Day is observed to pay respect to the driver's community.
A free health check particularly for drivers were held on the occasion.
Gifts items were also distributed to the attending drivers by the presidium members as a token of respect.
Chief guest Ramgopal in his speech, thanked Indian Oil Corporation for organizing the event.
He also thanked the drivers community for their service and sacrifice.
Y Bhupenchandra Ghosh, president, AMPTDU, also expressed his gratitude to the Indian Oil Corporation for acknowledging the grievances and hardships being faced by the drivers community of Manipur.
Driver cards were also distributed on the occasion.
The function concluded with a light refreshment and vote thanks from IOCL.
