MLA K Sarat's suspension revoked: Derek O'Brien

All India Trinamool Congress (AITC) spokesperson Derek O'Brien said here today that suspension of Manipur Trinamool MLA K Sarat from primary membership of party's Manipur unit has been revoked.
MLA K Sarat was recently suspended from Manipur Pradesh Trinamool Congress Committee (MPTCC) by party president Th Shyamkumar for anti-party activities, but the suspension order has been revoked, Derek O'Brien said while addressing media at the state party unit's office here.
He also assured that his party will raise the two key issues of Manipur�Armed Forces (Special Powers) Act and Inner Line Permit (ILP)�in the winter session of the Parliament which begins on November 24 .

O'Brian said Trinamool, the fourth largest party in the country, functions under a leadership.
He said the party currently has 46 members in Parliament.
AITC chief Mamata Banerjee is now in talks with several political parties like BSP to forge alliance in the hope to strengthen the organisation, he further said.
O'Brien said the votes secured by Manipur unit of Trinamool in the recent Hiyanglam by-poll results were satisfactory; announcing that AITC general secretary Abhishek Banerjee will be coming to Imphal to start chalking out strategy for the Manipur assembly poll 2017 .
He, however, declined to comment on the fate of several Manipur Trinamool MLAs who are currently facing disqualification cases.
