Imphal, September 15 2020:
Returnees and persons arriving at or visiting Imphal West district will now need e-pass to board private vehicles from Bir Tikendrajit International Airport, Imphal.
Those who reach Imphal by air must show the e-pass to the security officers before leaving the airport premises in private vehicles for the designated sample collection and testing centre at Changangei Community Hall.
Residents/returnees and those visiting Imphal should register using the link https://imphalwest.nic.in/epass-registration/ for filling in the mandatory details at least one day before the date of arrival.
The e-pass issued by the district administration will be sent by SMS to the registered mobile number of the applicant, said an order issued by Naorem Praveen Singh, Deputy Commissioner, Imphal West.
Those who are arriving at/visiting Imphal West district for a few days and having valid COVID-19 negative reports are allowed to proceed with private vehicle(s) to their respective destinations in Imphal West district.
However, they should also show the e-pass to the security personnel before leaving the airport premises, the order said.
