COVID-19 awareness campaigns held

Under the aegis of Relief & Disaster Management Department, Government of Manipur, the Disaster Management Institute organised a one day COVID-19 awareness programme at Tangjeng Khunjao Community Hall, Kakching district yesterday.
Waikhong Zilla Parishad Member Chongtham Indrajit, Pangaltabi Gram Panchayat Member Moirangthem Ongbi Urirei, State Disaster Response Force training instructor Havildar Okram Achouba and training officer Namita Tongbram attended the event as presidium members.
Resource persons and experts of the SDRF sensitised the locals on the SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) to be followed to avoid COVID-19 contraction.
On the other hand, Top Naoriya Gram Panchayat Pradhan M Dinachandra alias Loken launched a poster awareness campaign on COVID-19 at areas under the GP and distributed relief materials to households in containment areas - Top Khongnangmakhong, Kongpal Naoroibam Leikai and Kongpal Kshetri Leikai yesterday.
Kshetrigao CD Block Development Officer (BDO) W Nando inaugurated the campaign.
'COVID-19 appropriate behaviour campaign'
Personnel of 1st IRB located at Headquarters Veng, Churachandpur took out 'COVID-19 Appropriate Behaviour Campaign' in the town today morning under the supervision of Commandant of 1st IRB L Khongsai.
Before launching the campaign, the CO administered pledge to all officers and personnel of the battalion.
Printed slogans were pasted on walls and the officers used loud speakers to sensitise the public.
The campaign was taken out on Tipaimukh Road upto Bungmual; Dorcas Road upto Lanva bridge and then to Nehru Marg, Rengkai, Old Bazar and Tuibong along Tiddim Road.
The Commandant along with all officers and CHMs of the battalion participated in the campaign.
