Imphal/CCpur, September 12 2013:
Along with staging a protest demonstration in condemnation of the assault on a VDF personnel and other police personnel by surrendered cadres of a KCP faction at the campus of Churachandpur District Hospital during a high profile visit by Health Minister Phungzathang Tonsing on September 10, members of Churachandpur Joint Women Organisation (CJWO) have demanded withdrawal of the surrendered cadres from Churachandpur district at once.
The protest demonstration staged under the aegis of CJWO was held from early morning till late afternoon and was participated by many people.

Meanwhile, in a memorandum submitted to Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh, CJWO recalled that on that day around 6 KCP cadres in full combat dress bashed -up some state security personnel.
It is no secret that KCP cadres have been indulging in drunken brawl and other unwanted behavior.
The unruly behavior of KCP cadres has only exposed that the masters as well as the servants were hell-bent on destroying the hard earned peace in the district, and the masters have miserably failed in disciplining and controlling their servants.
In the light of these facts, the surrendered KCP cadres should be shifted out from the district, and the perpetrators of such heinous crime be punished along with the 46th Bn Assam Rifles personnel for giving a free hand to commit crime, the memorandum added.
On the other hand, the KCP-MC Nongdrenkhomba group has regretted over the September 10 incident and said that it could have been avoided if there was understanding on either side.
Talking to mediapersons at Manipur Press Club here today, commander-in-chief of the outfit Nongdrenkhomba asserted that the incident took place after some VDF personnel on duty ill-treated one cadres who had gone to attend another sick cadre who has been undergoing treatment at the hospital for the last five days.
Despite identifying himself by showing his I-card, the VDF personnel picked up the cadre and assaulted him inside the police station.
On hearing the news, around 10 party cadres including himself came in a Bolero and requested the VDF personnel not to assault the cadre and released him.
But the VDF personnel did not listen, and thus, the unfortunate incident took place, Nongdrenkhomba said.
Reiterating his regret over the incident, Nongrenkhomba said that the incident which resulted from misunderstanding should not be looked through communal prism.
'Party has always respected all the communities in the State and has entered SoO in the interest of bringing about communal harmony in the State', he added.
