Missing truck recovered

Lamphel police station assisted by Thoubal district police personnel today recovered one truck loaded with paints which was reported missing from Langjing area since July 29 .
According to a source, on July 30, a complaint was filed before Lamphel police in connection with the disappearance of a truck loaded with paints and other materials along with its driver.
The complaint further mentioned that on July 18, NE Cargo Transport had hired the missing Tata truck bearing registration number JK-02-BK-5609 from Guwahati for the transportation of 545 paint buckets and other paint items.
The complainant also mentioned that they got information that on July 29, the truck reached Langj ing, Imphal West and since then, the truck has remained traceless.
Lamphel police registered a regular FIR and carried out investigation under the supervision of OC Lamphel police station, Konsam Dineshkumar led by the IO of the case, 'Sub Inspector Satish of Lamphel police.
On August 1, the IO with the assistance of Nambol police, recovered around 300 paint buckets and other items from Nambol Phoijing area along with the seizure of one Xenon four wheeler truck bearing registration number MNO1-7541 used in transporting the paints and also arrested six individuals involved in the case.
The source pointed out that yesterday, the IO received specific information that the missing truck was being kept at Yairipok area and soon after a team of Lamphel police with the help of Thoubal district police, led by Deputy SP (Ops) Soibam Sachidananda and DSP (Commando) AK Sadananda, rushed to the spot and recovered the missing Tata truck from Yairipok Heitroipokpi area yesterday evening.
It also stated that operations are underway to arrest the mastermind and others involved in the case including the driver of the truck.
