872 polling stations categorised as hyper-sensitive, 150 as normal

Imphal, January 10 2012:
Out of the total 2357 polling stations to be set up for the upcoming 10th Manipur Legislative Assembly Elections, 872 polling stations have been categorized as hyper-sensitive.
According to a reliable source in the State Election Office, of the total 2357 polling stations, the Election Commission of India has categorized 872 polling stations as hyper sensitive, 1325 polling stations as sensitive and 150 polling stations as normal.
As such heavy security arrangements have been made for deployment at these hyper-sensitive and sensitive polling stations to ensure free and fair election.
The source further revealed that 100 companies of Para military force from outside the state have arrived in the state to assist in the security arrangements during the election and more Para military forces will be arriving in the state.
Meanwhile, in connection with arrangements of polling stations, a meeting was convened at the office of Imphal East DC today.
Presided over by the DC himself, members of various political parties attended the meeting.
