State receives 50 oxygen concentrator machines

Imphal, May 09 2021:
A total of 50 Oxygen Concentrator machines have been brought to the state on Sunday evening.
The oxygen concentrator machines have been provided by the central government keeping in view of the increasing number of Covid cases and patients requiring medical oxygen supports.
A special flight of the Indian Air Force airlifted the machines and landed at Imphal Airport around 7.30 pm .
Earlier, the IAF flight dropped Covid medicines in Mizoram and it headed for Jorhat after offloading the state's consignment of oxygen concentrators at the Tulihal airport.
Meanwhile, a top official of the state health department told The People's Chronicle that of the 50 oxygen concentrator machines, 30 have been despatched to Covid Care Centre at Bal Bhawan and 10 at RD Wing while the remaining 10 are being kept in the department office for distribution as per requirement.
The official also conveyed that the central government had already sent 400 oxygen concentrators and they have been distributed to RIMS, JNIMS and other healthcare centres.
