Form submission date for 'Livelihood Project' extended

The Indian Red Cross Society Manipur has extended the date for form submission for beneficiaries of its project, "AshageeMangal" (Livelihood Project) till June 10.However, the last date for form submission at Indian Red Cross Society Manipur office at MG Avenue Imphal would be extended till June 20.A press release issued by Project Director, Eco sec Livelihood Project stated that the project will benefit widows (within 50 years of age) of those person who died from HIV/AIDS, arm conflict and cancer.
The second phase of the project, which focuses on four valley districts of the State, aims to extend its assistance to 168 selected widow beneficiaries.
The press statement further stated that Ashagee Mangal has been taken up under the aegis of International Committee of Red Cross and Indian red Cross Society National HQs, Delhi.
Each selected beneficiary will be given a cash of Rs 48,000 along with items/equipments suitable to them to earn their livelihood, it stated while adding that the Indian Red Cross Society will monitor for a year over the business/source of livelihood undertaken by them from the aid provided.
It further informed that a total of 42 beneficiaries were assisted during the first phase of the project.
