DAVP's photo exhibition commences

A five-day long photo exhibition being organised by Directorate of Advertising and Visual Publicity, Imphal under Ministry of Information & Broadcasting began today at the conference hall of SBI Phoijing, Imphal West today.
Rajya Sabha MP K Bhabananda; Station Director-in-Charge AIR Imphal, Dilip Mayengbam; Director DIPR, Meghachandra Kongbam and Field Exhibition Officer DAVP Imphal, Premlata Loitam graced the inaugural function as chief guest, president and guests of honour respectively.
Speaking on the occasion, Bhabananda said that the public should take the benefits of the welfare programmes launched by the Central Government.
He informed that details of some of the welfare programmes are exhibited in the photo exhibition.
Dilip Mayengbam maintained that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is implementing the ideas dreamt by the then President APJ Abdul Kalam.
He said that the PM is targeting to make India a developed country by 2020.Premlata Loitam said that the photos exhibited highlight some of the welfare schemes of the Central Government.
She appealed to the public to take advantage of the photo exhibition and be aware of the various welfare schemes.
