Boycott stand withdrawn

The boycott stand of Chini-Ingkhol Pei (Thoubei) against ZUBSA Zone over the court verdict of ZUBSA Zone has been withdrawn by Chini-Ingkkol Pei during a joint consultation meeting held at Chini-Ingkhol community hall on October 10, General Secretary of Zeliangrong Union (Assam, Manipur & Nagaland) K Poushinglung said in a statement.
According to the statement, Pougiang Phaomei, Secretary of Chini-Ingkhol Pei (Thoubei) on behalf of the village apologised and withdrew the boycott stand in the meeting and stated that such unfortunate stand was taken due to discontents and misunderstanding on the part of the Pei.
In the meeting, President of ZU (AMN) also declared that the mater related to conversion of Christianity in Chini-Ingkhol village and its consequences be dealt by ZU(AMN) and status quo be maintained by all concerned parties till the final verdict.
The ZU (AMN) President also appealed to all to restrain indulging in any kind of unlawful activities like pelting stone, forced eviction, displacement or allowing outsiders to stay in the village.
Any party or individual who violated this interim order shall be initiated punitive action accordingly, the statement made it clear.
