AMWJU raises objection

All Manipur Working Journalists Union (AMWJU) has raised serious objection against obstacles caused to the process of electing new office bearers and a legal notice served on the union.
The objection raised was part of a six-point resolution adopted at an emergency special general body meeting held at Manipur Press Club on Sunday.
In a press note, AMWJU president in-charge Ratan Luwangcha also said that the union's Standing Committee had reiterated its stand to hold the election for 2015-17 term.
AMWJU also informed that April 8 (till 4 pm) will be the last date for both renewal of membership and registration of new members.
The meeting resolved that the Standing Committee will be empowered to take a decision after screening of applicants based on.

The meeting also constituted a five-member committee to take key decisions on certain issues within five days starting from Monday.
